On May 20, the WPBSA Snooker Q School 2024 begins, offering Pro-Am players the annual opportunity to win tickets to the Snooker Main Tour. Austrians Florian Nüßle and Paul Schopf are participating in this year’s Q School, held at the Morningside Arena in Leicester.
The international event, known for its large number of participants, consists of two consecutive tournaments. The semifinalists of each event secure a guaranteed spot on the professional Snooker tour.
Serial National Champion Florian Nüßle enters both events in the second round. In Event 1 he faces England’s Gary Milne on May 22 at 2 p.m., and in Event 2 he competes against France’s Nicolas Mortreux on May 29 at 11 a.m. Paul Schopf, the 2014 Snooker National Champion, meets Wang Yuchen from Hong Kong in the first knockout round of the opening event on May 21 at 8 p.m. In the second event he faces Patrick Whelan from England in the second round on May 28 at 6 p.m.
