The highly popular and now well-established Vienna Snooker Open in the international snooker scene will take place from May 9th to 12th, as always at Köö7, located at Kirchengasse 41, in 1070 Vienna. Admission is free.
In addition to many national top players, led by the Austrian serial national champion and defending champion Florian Nüßle, the prestigious snooker event once again enjoys high attendance. Well-known players from the snooker main tour such as Elliot Slessor, Ben Woollaston, Mark Davis, David Grace (all ENG), among others, are on the entry list. Former runner-up world champion and loyal VSO (Vienna Snooker Open) visitor Nigel Bond (ENG) will also be seen in Vienna.
Traditionally, a total of 80 players are in action, competing in the preliminary round in 16 groups of five. The best opportunity to watch the snooker professionals live at work is on Thursday and Friday, starting at 4:30 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday during the knockout stages.
As always, the tournament management for the hosting 15 Reds Köö Wien Snooker Club is led by the President of the Austrian Snooker & Billiards association, Christian Fock.
